At National, humanitarian endeavors are part of the life and pulse that allow our employees to be proud of their involvement with our company. In 2005, when the Iraqi people were ready for a democratic election, National was there. While other carriers turned down the mission because it was either too dangerous or not profitable, National stepped up to the plate. The voting booths, ballots and all the peripheral goods necessary to move forward with the election were shipped and supplied by National. Even the purple dye on the fingertips of proud voting Iraqis was special-delivered by National from India.
When the children of Afghanistan were facing a brutally cold winter in 2009, National rallied and provided them with over 1,000 blankets from Europe, the US, Asia and the Middle East. When an American soldier was facing a life-threatening illness on the front lines, National delivered the necessary medicines to save his life with only four hours to spare.
